Roundtable series: Mainstreaming knowledge on aging “The impact of including older people in the implementation of multilateral agreements”.

On May 30, 2024, GIA Longevity, in collaboration with UNITAR and with the support of various UN agencies, launched its annual series of five webinars dedicated to key issues related to aging, including economic, social and health aspects. This effort, now in its third consecutive year, seeks to foster dialogue on the inclusion and protection of older persons globally.

Ambassador Luis Gallegos Chiriboga, President of GIA Longevity, opened the series of Roundtables “Integrating Knowledge on Ageing”. The theme of the first event was “The impact of including older persons in the implementation of multilateral agreements”. These virtual roundtables are designed to bring together experts, policy makers, academics and private sector representatives interested in improving the quality of life of older people through inclusive strategies.

The series is part of an ongoing effort to raise awareness of the challenges facing an aging global population, providing a platform for sharing practical solutions and fostering international cooperation in this area.
